Religious School
Our religious school program, called Chavaya! A Great Jewish Experience is based on fun, experiential learning techniques that support our students in developing a love of Jewish life and learning. The curriculum includes Hebrew and Prayer, Torah, Jewish History, the Jewish Lifecycle, Shabbat and Holidays, Jewish Ethics and a variety of special topics. The students also perform a play entirely in Hebrew each year, during which they improve their Hebrew reading proficiency and pronunciation, become comfortable speaking and reading Hebrew from the bimah (pulpit) and have a great time.
New this year! Chavaya experiences Shabbat programming on the first Saturday of each month (and takes the corresponding Sunday off). With the exception of the first weekend of each month, Chavaya meets:
Sundays, 9:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Kindergarten-7th Grade
Tuesday, 4:15-6:15 p.m. 3rd-7th Grade
