B'nai Israel is hopping with activity. We invite you to join with us and attend as B'nai continues its tradition of welcoming all who wish to participate in an active and meaningful Jewish life.

Although there are many events scheduled we call your attention to the following upcoming activities:

SHABBAT! Join us on Friday night as we welcome the sabbath with Kabbalat Shabbat services at 6:00 pm. We begin our Saturday morning services at 9:30 am. Just preceeding those services you may join us for Torah Circle at 8:30 am. Kiddush Lunch follows services every weeky. Mincha, Seudah Shelishit, Shabbat Afternoon study and Havdalah begins at 7:00 pm this week.

HIGH HOLIDAYS! You have an open invitation to join us for the High Holidays! Our doors are open to everyone and we believe that you will find a warm community that "feels like home" even if you just arrived to Gainesville! This year we are offering a special three session pre-holiday class entitled "Jewish Journeys" that is meant to enrich your High Holiday experience. Rosh Hashana begins Monday night, September 29th and Yom Kippur begins on the evening of October 8th. A full detailed schedule of services will be posted here shortly. Please note that while tickets are suggested (call the office) no one is ever turned away from B'nai Israel! Our doors are open to all who wish to enter. Reservations are required for the Yom Kippur break-the-fast meal.

We are also pleased to announce that on Yom Kippur afternoon Rabbi Kaiman will be offering a class on "Judaism and Social Justice". Keep watching for more information.
